Well, we got to Assisi later than we wanted. Our lodging is in the southern part of the province of Toscana (Tuscany). Assisi is in the northern part of the adjoining province of Umbria. We got there, parked and, of course, tried to find the cathedral. One method...follow the nuns!! We did see some souvenirs of St. Francis on the way, then finally, we got to the cathedral, which was beautiful, but the pictures look surreal and lovely, but you'll have to guess what the place actually looks like...I think we will too. The fog was chilly as well. We would have stayed longer, but didn't get to. Guess that means another trip sometime.
