The mutant about to attack my sewing machine is me in a thumb spica splint. I fell at the end of the third day skiing. I had sailed through all the steep stuff just fine then on a slow flat returning traverse, I caught an edge and fell....that shiul've been no biggy, but I landed with my thumb jammed into the hardpack and....voila'....torn ligament, likely need surgery.

But I was able to keep sewing the Christening dress! the sleeve is partially together as is the bodice with piping I just learned how to make and Lee's grandma Susanna's crochet as trim at the neckline and sleeve bottom. I want to finish as much as possible before the surgery. Sorry pix blurry but you get the idea.

Skiing at Heavenly in Tahoe

This is the good news from Tahoe. Beautiful weather, great snow. Bundled up for the cold more than necessary. We had a great time skiing with Mark & Lia Robinson--we've gone together for 15 years or so, with all our kids till the last three years. Then, disaster struck!!!!
