Cristo e' Risuscitatio! Veramente e' Risuscitato! (Italian) Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!We just celebrated Pascha, Eastern Orthodox Easter, on the original calendar, occurring April 27, 2008. I was illumined on April 26, received into the Church by Chrismation, since I had been baptized previously. Indescribably wonderful!
The picture shows an icon of the Resurrection, an icon of Christ either called the Pantocreator or Christ of Sinai, with a Sha'nina in between. That's a flower holder made of palm. I made it the day before Palm Sunday, put the flowers in it, then it was blessed on Palm Sunday. I took the picture after the flowers had started to wilt a bit, but it still looks pretty good. Next year it'll look better when I know how to do it from the start.
